This trip home was short and sweet. Exactly 72 hours. My time in New Brunswick was spent apple picking, catching up with friends, and eating my own weight in turkey with my family. This year was a little different, instead of labouring over making the meal from scratch, we ate at the King’s Head in the popular tourist destination, Kings Landing Historical Settlement. It was a nice change with no dishes to deal with afterwards, just over-stuffed bellies. All day Saturday was spent apple picking at Doucette’s U-Pick Apple Orchard and making Apple Crisp with our best findings from the day. Now Brandon and I are off to cheer on the Jays and celebrate our last night in Freddy beach with a few close friends. Wherever you are, I hope you are taking advantage of the long weekend and spending your time surrounded by good company and great food.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
