Gingham is not just for picnic blankets my friends. Turns out this traditional checkerboard print is a total hit this season. Fashion retailers from Forever 21 to Prada have reinvented the classic Wizard of Oz Dorothy dress for spring 2017. I fell for this American Eagle Knot Keyhole Romper. Normally I have a hard time shopping for rompers and one-pieces with my body type but I definitely lucked out with this find. It’s preppy, playful and looks like a dress while giving me the freedom to forget about holding down a skirt in breezy weather. Shop this look on sale today at ae.com
Let me introduce you to my new favourite Toronto conscious clothing company – The Saltwater Collective. Driven by their vision for cleaner oceans, The Saltwater Collective uses eco-friendly fashion to help consumers realize their impact on the environment. To help reverse the damage, a portion of every sale is donated to Oceana to support their ocean conservation efforts.
This company popped up in my Insta feed after searching for some last minute additions to my Dominican Republic vacation wardrobe. I placed my order with no hesitation. Knowing that the garments were designed and manufactured locally with ethically sourced materials, it was a guilt free purchase.

Head to the mall this Canada Day to shop the many seasonal sales taking place before celebrating this evening! At the time of this photoshoot in Paris I had paid full price for my outfit. Although it breaks my heart to see it now 70% off, I have to share the details so a couple of you can take advantage of this awesome deal!
What I’m wearing: Off-the-shoulder lace top from Abercrombie & Fitch ($20), destroyed high-rise super skinny jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch ($37), chocker from Forever 21, leather sandals from American Eagle, and Clubmaster sunglasses from Ray-Ban.
Happy Canada Day!
Day 8 of my Paris trip was spent in Giverny exploring Claude Monet’s house and garden. From 1983 on, Monet, best-known for his large-scale water lily paintings, lived in Giverny with his wife and eight children until his death in 1929. It was a perfect day to visit the area that inspired the celebrated impressionist’s paintings. The garden’s were indeed picturesque. At the end of his career, Monet had hired up to seven gardeners to tend to the estate. It is the second most visited tourist site in Normandy after the Mont-Saint-Michel, with 530,000 visitors in 2010. It is easy to see why Monet chose to settle down here.
What I’m wearing: shirt from American Eagle, skirt from H&M
Hunting for the perfect transitional statement piece for Fall? Look no further. This woven floral romper from American Eagle is on-trend and super flattering on all body types with its wrap design. The best part – it won’t break the bank. Find it online here for just $60. For a Summer look, I paired the romper with boho-inspired jewellery from Alex & Ani and Kate Spade, a cross body bag from Michael Kors, and leather peep-toe wedges from Nine West. For the cooler Fall season, simply add tights, a light cotton jacket or knit sweater and ankle boots to complete the look.
It’s officially rooftop season here in Toronto and I have put together an outfit that works for any sky-high occasion, whether it be for a casual barbecue or a classy cocktail party. A rooftop wardrobe needs to be breathable to beat the heat but also have enough coverage to keep you comfortable once the sun goes down. I found my wide leg pants at American Eagle, black crop at American Apparel, necklaces at Banana Republic, bracelets at Alex and Ani, and earrings at Kate Spade.
