You can always count on Ted Baker to design the cutest quirky prints. This spring they released the ZAHLEE fly fish print silk shirt, and you can say I’m hooked. This UK based fashion brand has always had a cheeky sense of humour and unconventional approach to fashion. With their keen attention to detail and expert tailoring, they have made a splash in the Canadian market. Shop the look at tedbaker.com
Ted Baker London was the talk of the town last Thursday as Toronto’s top editors and influencers dropped by the FSHOPPE to preview the SS17 collection.
The new designs are feminine with lots of lace and floral prints (groundbreaking). Silhouettes mimic Dior’s New Look of the 40’s and 50’s, which is a classic choice for Ted. Rolling with 50’s theme, we rented some retro props including pastel rotary phones, vintage food boxes and milk bottles, a big box tv and records. Attendees were invited to help themselves to an old fashioned sundae bar by Sweet Sammies and at the end of the event, they went home with a branded Google Cardboard to experience the Ted Baker collection in virtual reality.
To embrace the 50’s housewife look for the event, I pinned my hair into a fake bob, applied my brightest shade of lipstick and grabbed my favourite new piece from Ted – FLUXAM, the Folk Foliage skater dress. Shop the collection in a 360° film, ‘Keeping up with the Bakers,’ hosted on tedbaker.com today!
